The counselors at Beacon Falls Counseling LLC are trained to intervene or provide support for a countless number of issues, far too many to list in any comprehensive way. While counseling might be helpful in numerous situations, there are some conditions in which we would strongly encourage you to seek counseling services:

• You are unhappy on most days or feel a sense of hopelessness
• You worry excessively or are constantly on edge
• You are unable to concentrate on your work or other activities
• You are unable to sleep at night or constantly feel tired
• You have experienced a change in your appetite or your weight
• You have experienced a loss (e.g., a relationship breakup, a parent's death)
• You have increased your use of alcohol or other drugs (including cigarettes)
• You feel overwhelmed by what is going on in your life
• You are having thoughts about hurting yourself or someone else



It is our policy to charge for missed appointments and those cancelled less than 24 hours in advance. This time has been scheduled for you and we do not double book. If we have advance notice, we have the opportunity to schedule another person. Please note that insurance companies will not pay for missed or cancelled appointments. You will be billed directly.

In general, the confidentiality of all communications between a client and a licensed mental health professional is protected by law, and information about the work you do with your clinician can be released to others only with your written permission. However, there are a number of exceptions. Here are several reasons that confidentuality can be broken with out your permission (for a further explanatiopn plese contact Beacon Falls Counseling LLC):

1. If you are a Danger to yourself
2.  If you are a danger to someone else
3. The court has subpoenaed your files from the office.

Janet Lanci LPC is a participating provider for many of the major insurance companies including Medicaid, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Oxford, and UBH. The best way to discover if she is covered by your insurance plan is to call the number for mental health and substance abuse on the back of your insurance card as individual insurance companies have a variety of different products. If you hold insurance from a provider that Ms. Lanci does not take you still MAY be able to be treated by Ms. Lanci. Contact your insurance company to see if your policy allows for “out of network providers” and if so, how they process claims. If your plan will allow out of network providers Beacon Falls Counseling LLC will assist you in this process.

Beacon Falls Counseling LLC rarely if ever closes due to foul weather but realizes that there will be times when the weather will make your commute to our office dangerous. While we will be here unless we call you to advise you that we are closed, we respect that weather issues may prevent you from making your appointment. If you feel it is too dangerous to make your appointment, we simply ask you to call the office at 203-729-0100 or text us at 203-528-5018  to let us know. We ask that you do this as soon as possible. Sessions cancelled due to legitimate weather concerns will not be held to the 24 hr cancellation notice policy and you will not be billed for the no show.
